Just about this time next year I will have finished an arduous ride across the alps fundraising for two very special boys, Harrison and Barney, and the two charities that help support them. I am planning to keep up the blog of my progress in training and fundraising and also to highlight the activities of the charities. The charities are Harrison’s Fund and Footsteps. Click on the charities to find out more.
Harrison is the son of a good friend who was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy a couple of years ago and Barney is my godson and nephew who was affected by Encephalitis at 6 months and was left profoundly affected by it.
The challenge I’ve set myself is to ride the Marmotte cyclosportive next July and to raise as much awareness and funding as I possibly can. Follow my progress here. I hope to link this blog to my training diary at Movescount and Strava, but bear with me as I’m not too hot on the technical side of things.
