Practice protocol relating to Covid-19 will be published and updated web required on the practice website.
A paper copy will be held on the premises and copies can be emailed to patients if required.
Communication with patients:
- Clinicians will contact patients by telephone for pre-appointment screening to determine whether they or a member of their household is experiencing symptoms of Covid-19 or has tested positive.
- The clinician will determine whether a face-to-face consultation is required.
- The clinician will obtain and record the patient’s consent for a face-to-face consultation.
Consent will include but is not limited to:
i. close patient contact required for osteopathic manual treatment and risk of transmission/exposure.
ii. The level of PPE that the clinician is required to wear to mitigate the risk of transmission.
iii The infection control measures that will be taken by the practice. - Off-site reception will send a reminder text including time and date of appointment.
